Welcome to Curious Art Gallery

The Curious Artists

It was a significant moment for Art in the Kingscliff and Tweed area. It was September 2001. The exhibition invitation had gone out to all artists and art lovers in the Tweed and beyond as "The Birth of Curious" to be opened at the new Cooperative Art Gallery at Chinderah a few minutes from Kingscliff, NSW.

A packed Gallery crowd waited in the dark. The lights went on the rolls of blank white paper were lifted from the walls to reveal the new art work. Curious Art was born.

Curious Art features a diverse range of work from contemporary to traditional art in paintings, drawings, photography, mixed media collage, art books, art furniture, installations and handcrafted jewellery.

This page has links to Curious Artists currently exhibiting and a link to past Curious Art members of the Artist's Cooperative.

Many members of the not for profit Art Cooperative are Tweed Shire Artists, some living in Murwillumbah and Kingscliff while others come from Brisbane.

Curious Art is one among the many Art Galleries along the North Coast of N.S.W. and one we hope you have an opportunity to visit.
