"The Moon waits for no one"
The tide is coming in singing
flushed and determined.
Do they miss me singing?
Don’t tell me You don’t
The day waits for no one
but the tide waits for the moon
and that soliloquy
heard by no man.
But you, little ones
hand-painted in caverns,
you know the moon
waits for no one.
Are you thinking of me?
Don’t tell me.
